Frequently asked questions

Why do NIOSH and OSHA differ?

NIOSH uses 85 dBA for 8 hours with a 3 dB exchange; OSHA uses 90 dBA and a 5 dB exchange, with different thresholds.

What are the limits?

Models do not certify compliance or safety. Uncalibrated input readings cannot establish safe exposure.
